Dr. Alejandro Nieponice is currently the director of the Esophageal Institute at Hospital Universitario Fundaci�n Favaloro in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is also a faculty member of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine and adjunct research assistant professor of the department of surgery at University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Nieponice has pioneered the treatment of esophageal reflux with electrical stimulation of lower esophageal sphincter becoming the first surgeon worldwide to treat successfully a patient with reflux after a sleeve gastrectomy. He has also developed a program of interventional endoscopy for the treatment of early esophageal cancer and achalasia. Dr. Nieponice�s main goal is to foster clinical translation of novel tissue engineering and minimally invasive approaches by bridging his surgical and research background.

Dr. Douglas Faigel is the Co-director of the World Endoscopy Organization Program for Endoscopic Teachers. He is Professor of Medicine and Chairman of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic Arizona. He served as President of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy from 2015 to 2016. He was educated at Harvard University and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania before completing training in Internal Medicine at the University of California San Francisco and Fellowships in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Advanced Endoscopy at the University of Pennsylvania. He was previously Professor of Medicine and Director of Endoscopy at Oregon Health and Science University before joining the Mayo Clinic in 2010.
Dr. Douglas Faigel is the Co-director of the World Endoscopy Organization Program for Endoscopic Teachers. Edward John Despott is the Lead of Endoscopy Services and Honorary Associate Professor at the Royal Free Unit for Endoscopy, Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust and University College London (Institute for Liver and Digestive Health) (Hampstead campus) in London. He is a consultant gastroenterologist and interventional endoscopist whose specialist interests include device assisted enteroscopy (double-balloon enteroscopy (DBE) in particular), capsule endoscopy (CE) and therapeutic colonoscopy (mainly wide-field EMR and ESD). He is also interested in transnasal upper GI endoscopy and in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease and related complications (such as endoscopic management of small bowel and colonic strictures). He instigated significant advances at the Royal Free Unit for Endoscopy by making it one of the only 2 centres in London (and one of a handful in the UK) to offer a comprehensive small bowel endoscopy service, now one of the busiest in Europe.
His expertise is recognised and he is regularly invited to speak at national and international meetings and forms part of several international steering committees (including the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) guidelines committee for small bowel endoscopy and the World Endoscopy Organisation (WEO) committees for education and standards of practice. Dr Despott maintains an interest in endoscopic research; he is well published (peer-reviewed papers, several book chapters and review articles) and regularly acts as a referee for scientific journals of high impact. His group's work is also regularly accepted for oral presentation at national and international conferences and he is regularly invited to form part of the faculty at the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) week. He also maintains an active interest in endoscopy education and teaches on several hands-on endoscopy courses, forms part of the faculty of the �European Capsule Endoscopy Course� and is a co-director of the successful Royal Free International Advanced Endoscopy Masterclass (AEM), held annually in central London. His other interests include oil painting and deep sea fishing.

Doctor Evgeny D. Fedorov is Professor of the Department of Abdominal Surgery, Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the N.I.Pirogov�s Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU) and Clinical Head of the Department of Endoscopy & Endoscopic Surgery at Moscow University Hospital No. 31. He is the advisor to the Scientific and Practical Council of the Ministry of Health of Russia; the current Vice-President of the Russian Endoscopy Society and a member of several international committees and scientific societies.
Prof. Fedorov received his medical degree from the Pirogov�s State Medical Institute in 1981. He completed his surgical and endoscopy residencies at Moscow University Hospital No. 31 and received diplomas in surgery and digestive endoscopy (specialist distinction) from the Russian medical board.
In 2007, Prof. Fedorov organized and took the lead on the Elective Endoscopy Course and the Endoscopy Training Center. Doctor Evgeny D. Fedorov is Professor of the Department of Abdominal Surgery, Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the N.I.Pirogov�s Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU) and Clinical Head of the Department of Endoscopy & Endoscopic Surgery at Moscow University Hospital No. 31. He is the advisor to the Scientific and Practical Council of the Ministry of Health of Russia; the current Vice-President of the Russian Endoscopy Society and a member of several international committees and scientific societies.
Prof. Fedorov received his medical degree from the Pirogov�s State Medical Institute in 1981. He completed his surgical and endoscopy residencies at Moscow University Hospital No. 31 and received diplomas in surgery and digestive endoscopy (specialist distinction) from the Russian medical board.
In 2007, Prof. Fedorov organized and took the lead on the Elective Endoscopy Course and the Endoscopy Training Center.
